In 2009 there were about 8,400 new cases of testicular cancer with about 380 deaths. Testicular cancer is not common. In a man's lifetime his chance of developing testicular cancer is about 1 in 300 because treatment is so successful.
- Testicular Cancer accounts for 1% of all cancers in men.
- It usually affects young men (age 20-39) in their prime of youth.
- Testicular Cancer has the highest cure rates among all cancers (> 90%)
- But, like all cancers, it can recur.
- Testicular is common in Caucasian men and rare in African and Asian men.
- Prominent Symtoms include pain, swelling, lumps in testicles and groin area.
